Using the Internet without Starting Windows (Quick Web Access)(the Web button)

The Quick Web Access function enables you to access the Internet without starting Windows.

1. Press the WEB button on your VAIO computer while the computer is off. [Details]

1. Follow the instructions in the initial setup wizard.

Once completed the initial setup, you can start the web browser used with the Quick Web Access function just by pressing the WEB button from the next time.

For more information on how to use the Quick Web Access function, click (Help) located at the lower right corner of the computer screen.

• The WEB button is not functional while your VAIO computer is in Sleep mode or Hibernate mode.

• While your VAIO computer is on and you are logging onto Windows, the WEB button starts the web browser assigned to the button by default.

To exit the Quick Web Access function

1. Click (Power) located at the lower left corner of the computer screen.

• To start Windows, you need to exit the Quick Web Access function.

• Alternatively, you can exit the Quick Web Access function by pressing the WEB button or (Power) on your VAIO computer.

Notes on using the Quick Web Access function

While the Quick Web Access function is activated, you cannot use:

• Any function key, except the F2 , F3 , and F4 keys, in combination with the Fn key for shortcuts

• The Scr LK key in combination with the Fn key for shortcut

• The ASSIST button

• The VAIO button

• Any port, jack, and memory card slots except the LAN port, the headphones jack, the USB ports, and the DC IN port

• The Intel(R) Wireless Display (installed on selected models only)

• Some USB devices may not work with the USB ports on your VAIO computer.

Acer Quick Access — приложение, обеспечивающее работу боковой панели с функциями включения/отключения Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, адаптивной яркости, активации зарядки при выключенном ноутбуке и другими опциями.

1. Программу обычно можно заметить на ноутбуках производителя Acer, может быть предустановленной, альтернативное название — Quick Access Application.
2. Количество функций зависит от конкретной модели ноутбука.
3. Данное ПО не является драйверами или критически важным, его можно спокойно удалить при желании: зажмите Win + R > команда appwiz.cpl > найдите приложение > правый клик по нему > Удалить, далее следуйте инструкциям мастера деинсталляции.

Используя боковую панель можно активировать работу:

1. Общего доступа к сети.
2. Адаптера Wi-Fi, Bluetooth.
3. Режим защиты глаз — технология Acer BlueLight Shield, которая снижает уровень синего цвета, который излучает компьютерный монитор.
4. Зарядка девайсов по USB при выключенном ноуте.
5. Контроль работы системы охлаждения (вентиляторов).
6. Изменение масштаба экрана.
